User Case:
Modern motorcycle, powersport, light marine inboard and outboard engines are lightweight, high-performance motors designed with high power-to-weight ratios, often operating in extreme conditions, or modified with added performance, especially for racing applications.
Whether the engine is fuel injected or carburetored, both types require the correct amount of fuel to be mixed with air being drawn into the motor.
This fuel is metered by the fuel injectors or by the jets and needle valves in the carburetor. If they aren’t flowing the way they were engineered to, air-fuel ratios will be affected resulting in reduced performance, poor starting and increased fuel consumption and emissions.
If the motorcycle, powersport vehicle or boat is used regularly, you should use ECOSHOT to clean and restore the fuel system and engine at service intervals and anytime you notice a decrease in performance or signs of a rich or lean running motor.
How to use
- If a vehicle or boat is not used often, we recommend using ECOSHOT at least twice per year and definitely prior to storing for any long periods.
- Dose the fuel and run the engine for 10-15 minutes to coat internal components and prevent gums and residue from forming in injectors, jets, and needle valves.
- ECOSHOT should be used at every service interval or at least once per year, but it can be used as often as every fill-up to keep things right!

ECOSHOT helps prevent engine “knock”
A dirty fuel injector will have poor atomisation which leads to an incomplete fuel burn and a dirty carboned combustion chamber. This can increase the compression ratio causing pre-ignition “knock” or in extreme cases, mechanical knock when the carbon loaded piston hits the cylinder head, leading to engine damage.
ECOSHOT Improves Engine Balance and Performance
Clean fuel injectors are essential for a balanced engine. If an injector is clogged and delivers less fuel, the engine’s computer will moderate fuelling in the other cylinders, which can lead to an imbalance and reduced performance.
